Care Guide
Care Guide
Your Rukuh bag is a handmade investment. Treat it accordingly.
Daily Handling
- Handle your bag with clean, dry hands.
- Avoid contact with oils, perfumes, and lotions — apply these before putting on your bag.
- Do not overload the bag. Crystal beadwork has weight limits and overfilling stresses the seams.
Cleaning
- Spot clean only using a soft, damp cloth. Do not rub — dab gently.
- Never submerge in water or use a washing machine.
- Do not use cleaning solvents, bleach, or alcohol-based products.
- For stubborn spots, use a very small amount of mild soap diluted in water.
Storage
- Store in the dust bag provided, or wrapped in soft fabric.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and humidity — these can fade crystals and weaken bead thread.
- Do not stack heavy items on top of your bag.
- Store upright to maintain the bag's shape.
Hardware & Chains
- Wipe hardware with a soft dry cloth after each use.
- Avoid prolonged contact with water — this can tarnish gold-plated hardware.
- Do not polish with abrasive materials.
Repairs
Beaded bags are delicate by nature. If a bead or two comes loose over time, this is normal wear. We offer repair services — reach out to us at leadorsys@gmail.com with photos and we'll advise on next steps.
